CAD system used on all drawings, following information needed for quote:
  1. Photo copy of 1st and 2nd floor plan. (Area where stair location)
  2. 1st and 2nd floor total unfinished floor to floor height.
  3. 1st and 2nd floor finished floor thickness.
  4. Length and width of stair opening.
  5. Location of windows and doors close to stair opening (should show on plan).
  6. Fill out specification sheet including above information.
  7. Fax copy of floor plan and specification sheet to Grinnell Door Company, Fax: 586-463-4098
Standard Construction Features:

Dealer's Responsibility
  1. Blue Print
  2. Specification Sheet
  3. Review proposal with Builder (Customer) Obtain Signatures
  4. Review Drawing with builder - (Make sure he has checked the drawing with site or actual blue print) Obtain signatures
  5. Builder must be reminded of one month delivery at all phases of proposal and drawing stages.
  6. Set realistic delivery date not less than one month.
  7. Remind builder of delivery date two days before and to have enough of his own men available to help with setting stair in place.
Builder's Responsibility
  1. Blue print
  2. Stair & rail specification sheets
  3. Code requirements Rail height stair Rail height balcony Minimum tread width Maximum unit rise
  4. Make sure curved walls are left unframed. if already framed, what is radius and where is radius point?
  5. Roof shingled, doors and windows installed.
  6. Stair opening must be ready.
  7. Builder's (Customer) crew must be available on site to assist driver upon arrival - (Extra charge will be incurred if driver waits more than one hour after arrives).
  8. One man must be available to driver during installation.
  9. Read proposal and UNDERSTAND all descriptions and quantities.
  10. Sign proposal and return.
  11. Read drawings and compare all measurements and directions of ascents with original blueprint and actual site conditions. Please note any changes required and send back for re-draw before signing.
  12. Sign completed drawing and return.
  13. Specify date stair required - not less than one month.
  14. Accept stair on date specified. If unable to receive it, invoice will be sent and warehousing fee will be incurred.
  15. Stair to have finish on with one week of delivery.
